Follow any gene through yeast meiosis
Search a gene name (e.g. SPO11) or ORF (e.g. YLR263W) to see how mRNA and protein levels change from meiotic entry to spore formation (Cheng et al. 2018, Brar et al. 2012), and how deleting it affects sporulation in a high-throughput study (Marston et al. 2004).
Gene name, ORF or alias, not case-sensitive. Separate several genes with commas.

Ndt80 block-release
Two datasets use an NDT80 block-release: cells arrest at pachytene in the absence of Ndt80, then are released from pachytene when Ndt80 is induced. This separates prophase I from the events of MI and MII.
How to read the data
Time points are hours in sporulation medium, as reported in each study. Studies differ in timing and normalisation, so compare the shape and timing of a profile, especially relative to landmarks such as NDT80 induction, rather than absolute values between datasets. “Not detected” means the gene was absent from that dataset, not that it isn’t expressed.
